What could better than a day of golf and media hype all while enjoying a top notch golf resort? Innisbrook Golf Resort is home to four championship courses and one PGA Tour stop; the Valspar Championship. On a beautiful sunny day in February I was fortunate enough have full media access to the beginning of what will be be an incredible 72-hole PGA Tour event in March.Air Zoom Pegasus 35
Innisbrook Golf Resort is working feverishly to make improvements to the already amazing facility in preparations for the Valspar Championship that will be coming March 5-11, 2018. With immaculate greens already in place they are adding special touches to create a more distinguished and classic look for this year’s event. The facility will be ready for PGA Tour play as well as a Valspar LIVE! Concert to all ticket holders on March 10th on the Osprey Driving Range featuring Jake Owen and Dustin Lynch.
The perfect beginning to the day was to grab our clubs and hit the course.
After hearing about the exciting course improvements and commitments to this year’s upcoming event we were treated to a Q and A session with last year’s winner, Adam Hadwin and NBC Golf Analyst/PGA Tour Specialist, Gary Koch.
Sarah Hackman, Valspar Brand Manager, shared their continual commitment to improving lives with the new Valspar Can Do Project. She told us to stay tuned for more on-course activation involving the community engagement initiative
Greats like Nancy Lopez, John Daly, Vijay Sihn, Jim Furyk, and Jordan Spieth has graced these courses in the past but there is great excitement about this year’s early commitments. They are currently anticipating returning players like Jim Furyk, Gary Woodland, Bubba Watson, Web Simpson and returning champion from 2017, Adam Hadwin. In addition are newcomers like Rory McIIlroy and Sergio Garcia just to name a few.
Looking forward to visiting the Innisbrook Golf Resort in March when the PGA Tour hits the course!
