I have always been a person to work out. Probably my football background. Also did Whitewater slalom racing for a few years, done some sprint triathlons and some 10k's. Now it is golf with an occasional 5k or 10k. Mostly the former not the later. I am back to running a few times a week after having knee surgery last August. I also do some general conditioning with an emphasis on the core, rotation and stance stabilization on the days that I don't run. I use mostly dumbbells and medicine balls for any weight training. I can get more detailed but in general I make sure I do push ups and pull ups at least one day a week and the other days are a mixture of stationary bike, some type of squat and dead lift and then some knee stabilization exercises, and then core and rotation exersises.

Core workouts are good and also isolated golf muscle workouts are awesome for control and distance. If you are a walker then supplementing the lack of walking a round with cardio will be good for your offseason health. When you walk 18 you burn off around 1200 calories. Thats really good for your all around health, and is good to keep up during the offseason.
