Well was in golf exchange today, they are a local store and opened a new location today. Walked in they gave me two pro v1x balls and had $50 off any purchase over $250. Plus I get a 5% discount for my country club, so I got the bushnell patriot pack v3.
If you know your exact yardages with your irons and have pin location maps where you play, go with laser. If your yardages tend to vary, a gps that gives you front, middle and back of green numbers might be a better option. That's just my opinion for approach shots, if you are looking for distances to lay up or carry water hazards, doglegs, bunkers, etc, the gps will be easier and faster for decision making and club selection. For regular casual play I just use my Leupold (gx4 I think...) laser but for tourney rounds I use both the laser and gps for the previously mentioned reasons.
