Works just as well as epoxy, but this allows you to remove extension with a pliers

1. Buy a round wood dowel they are cheap. ( could also use a damaged graphite shaft)
2. grind about a 11/2 inch section of the dowel to a point where it will fit somewhat snug into shaft but>
3.put a little 2 sided tape on each side of the grinded dowel section or on each side of the shaft butt interior
4. use enough 2 sided tape so the fit is snug, lightly tap with hammer if needed, you will need to do a little more grinding if light hammer taps don't work
5. CUT DOWEL SECTION THAT IS EXTENDING FROM SHAFT BUTT TO YOUR PREFERRED LENGTH.
6. will hold as good as epoxy but removable with pliers with no shaft damage

Sorry no pics. If you use a damaged graphite shaft you will only get one extension since you have to cut quite a bit above the tip area to get to a point where the graphite shaft starts to fit snugly in butt end, and in this instance should rough up area or scratch some paint off area of graphite shaft that goes inside butt. When you grind the wooden dowel down to size to fit snugly inside butt area you are left with the extended portion of the dowel which is larger cause you did not taper or grind it at all and it seats nicely on top of the shaft butt because it is slightly larger. Assuming you have not got some large size dowel ( you want to buy the one that is just a little bigger than a shaft butt, anything close will do) the circumference of the dowel extension can be left alone or you could grind it slightly to more exactly match size of shaft butt , that only takes a minute to do ( it does not need to be a perfect size match once grip is on there can't notice anything different.
This works very well nothing moves. Works on drivers, fairways, irons wedges and of course putters. Never done this for a super long extension, but most people are not going that route
