Last night after getting my clubwars rewind driver in, I decided to take apart my old driver to see the differences in the adapter tips. In doing so I cross threaded the adapter on my old driver, an adams speedline tech. Is there any way I can save the adapter and get it back together, or am I out the $25 to buy a new one?
If I have to get a new one, what does it take to swap out adapters on shafts?

So did you try to put your old shaft in the new Cleveland? Or the new shaft from the Cleveland into your old driver? Cause dont think they should of fit either way?? If you just took it apart and put it right back together I dont see how you could of cross threaded it? Kinda confused? Either way if you ruined an adapter, its better to just get a new one and take it to a golf place and let them put it on!

Sorry for the confusion. I was only visually comparing the differences in the options the two different adapters allowed. Not trying to switch them up.

When I tried to put the adams back together, the screw cross threaded, and now it will not go back together. When I try to start the screw, it cross threads and will not allow any rotation.

Hmmm that is very odd, I have taken apart my R11 tons and tons of times and never had this issue, so not exactly sure how it would of cross threaded itself! If the adapter is cross threaded for 100%, then will likely have to get a new adapter for the shaft, hopefully the screw itself didnt cross thread! Dont own an adams but most of the screws are universal these days, just like the screw drivers themselves! So that is a good question, I would take it to a Golfsmith or some place and have them check it out!

Took the driver by Edwin Watts last night and they only had a sales associate there so he had their manager call me this morning. He said that I need to take in my driver, shaft and screw and they would send it in to adams to be replaced... FOR FREE!!! I love good customer service and companies standing behind their products.

I liked adams golf before this, but I am thrilled at their response! Customer for life!

New tip for free thats sweet. I remember starting to strip my titleist when it first came in. felt it was going in weird and stopped. saved it from mass damage. Gotta be careful if it is harder to screw in than normal... stop.
