If I hear one more player complain about playing a golf course in a U.S. Open WHILE GETTING PAID TO PLAY GOLF, I'm gonna lose it. Also correct me if I am wrong, but the only players I have seen publicly ridicule the course are non American players. The only American player to make a comment was Speith but that was picked up on a microphone, not spoken during an interview. Stetson, Rose, Poulter, Garcia etc. even Gary Player who emphatically bashed the course on golf channel this morning; which was very distasteful to watch. I'm sure there are millions of golfers who would love to play in a U.S. Open. Let alone hundreds of other tour pros and alternates who couldn't make it who would no doubt play no matter the conditions.

100% in agreement with you. Funny that the only players complaining are ones that arent playing well enough to really be in contention. Easier to blame the course than to blame yourself. Gary Player's comments were especially disappointing. What an absolute assinine rant he went on in my opinion. Seriously unnecessary and really uncalled for.

Those guys are a bunch of cry-babies. They want a golf course with an easy layout. Let them play miniature golf (without the windmill). Golf is a challenge. Play the course!

I agree with the OP. They are a bunch of cry babies! I personally do not get enjoyment out of watching them play easy (for them) perfectly manicured course. That is why I only watch tournaments played on very difficult courses. I enjoy seeing them struggle like all of us do at times.

Welcome to 'normal' conditions Tour Boys.....we all love playing on perfect courses, but that's pretty rare for most people.
I love this tournament because not every hole is a given par! Even if they hit the green, it's still a huge challenge.
I'm sure all the crying will keep another US Open away from it for quite a while. As for me - I love it!
