So interesting news came over the last 24 hours that Adam Scoot and Louis Oosthuizen have decided to not represent their countries at the upcoming Summer Olympics in Rio. Two big names in the game of golf out of the Olympics.

What do you guys think? Is this bad for the game? Are they not taking this as serious as other PGA events/Majors?

Definitely not a fan of their choices for many reasons. I feel that they are taking personal reasons and their own agendas and by stepping the chance to represent their countries in the Olympics. We all know the issues revolving around the Olympic games due to the location, etc. Just don't like the decisions made.

I think Olympics should be for amateurs and not pros.

I agree as well, but unfortunately the Professional route was the way the Olympic committee went. There just wasn't enough draw for them to go the amateur route to make it an event. Hopefully we see that change in the future.
