So we had some rumors up here for a year about Jason Day all set to sign with Nike Golf. I think he was set to originally take on a full sponsorship with balls and clubs when he actually signed the deal almost 2 years ago. With all that has happened with NikeGolf only producing apparel and shoes, I'm actually surprised to still see this signing.

OR... is this just further evidence and foreshadowing of Taylormade splitting off from Adidas??? Everyone knows that Adidas has been shopping taylormade and wanting to get out of the golf biz. MAYBE Nike Golf could just BUY Taylormade???? MAYBE they shut down club/ball manufacturing because they will just acquire one of the leaders in club production??? Who knows where the golf business is heading? This roller coaster is far from over...

Very interesting !!

Big move for Nike. I think it shows they are committed to stay in golf. As far as their clubs and balls go who knows. I think there is probably some third party out there that may buy Taylormade and the Nike shop and rule the golf world.

A Nike + Taylormade combo would be pretty sick, especially if they could continue the new Nike ball technology in a TM package

Had to be a big contract by the reports of if it. 10 million. Hell Nike could pay me $50/year and I would have signed the dotted line.

Totally agree. I would do it for free.
Just send me their shirts, shoes, socks, hats, .... and I will wear them everywhere at all times :)
