I took this monotone as in head to toe same color. I don't mind shirts that are just one color, I have plenty of those.

My biggest tip is to avoid plaid. I know, I know, it's iconic for golf-wear, but I wish it would die in a fire somewhere. You can look classic on the golf course without resorting to the age-old plaid that everyone expects.
