Guess I don't get the sunglasses problem with golf?
I play with sunglasses every round...I know the pro's like to take them off to help read the greens, but I don't seem to have an issue with it.
Granted, I don't play golf for a living.

Is depth perception such a problem when wearing sunglasses?
Do you not wear them when you drive? It doesn't affect you when you drive a car? just a golf ball???

Just curious...

When driving on the road, the depth perception change is minuscule, I can't even tell. But when standing over a golf ball, there is a very noticeable difference. I consider myself a pretty good ball striker these days, but if I slip the sunglasses on I have issues. I bet if I were to play a round without taking them off I would be in the 90s easily when I'm usually mid to high 70s. Maybe this is because I've always bought cheap sunglasses and they affect it more than others. No clue.

The most important thing is to make sure they are polarized. Your eyes won't burn like you said. Tint on the lenses will differ from person to person. I have a pair of Revo's but the sides wrap behind my ears and can get uncomfortable. Looking for a pair that are straight behind the ears and found that Oakley had a few that are nice but I don't like the frameless glasses.

I know what your talking about tho Josh, Ive noticed it too even with a pair of Sundogs that I have, when I put them on it makes the ball seem like its closer to me and then I end up hitting the ball like crap so I just leave them off when Im actually hitting and can only wear them when Im riding or b/w shots! Never been able to putt in them either, always end up on my hat if I have them with me, but lately just been playing without sunglasses!

been wearing the Oakley M-frame or Heater for years (not that I am like him, but think David Duval as far as the style) I have wicked allergies and the lens on both of those models hug the face and keep pollen out of my eyes even when it's really windy. I don't take them off when putting either, you don't even realize you are wearing them after a while and I have zero problem with depth perception, on or off, depth looks the same. Oakleys aren't cheap, but the lenses do not distort like you are talking about.

I know the SunOakley's I'm wearing are crap b/c they fall of my face when I look down at the ball or they fall off after I swing....Time to spend some decent money on a good pair of sunglasses I guess.
