I've been a Footjoy guy, forever it seems. Mostly because they were the only one's who offered the 'BOA' style.
BOA is the ratchet/wheel for the laces. They are amazing, easy to get just the right amount of lace pressure and never come undone. My favorite pair is probably the Footjoy DNA (BOA version). These things are like walking on a cloud of air.
Having said that - Footjoy has transitioned to the 'PINS' style cleats. Those things are horrible, they're always popping out.
SO...Adidas came out with their own version of BOA shoes, in the Tour360. Picked up a pair of those, but haven't tried them out yet. Guess what?!? More PINS!! Why are the shoe manufacturers going to this style of cleat connection? They suck, to be honest about it. What was wrong with the old style 'twist'?!?

There is only 1 BOA closure system. When a shoe brand wants the BOA system on a shoe, they contract them to design their closure into the shoe. The shoe needs to be totally redesigned but look identical.
