Intro: The Bridgestone Tour B330-RXS is a 3-piece soft Urethane tour-spin ball. The RX line is Bridgestones "bridge the gap" line to get tour quality into the hands of average players that need more than mid-range balls. The RXS is the softer one of the bunch with added spin around the greens. Ideally it is for players with an average swingspeed below 105. The technology in this ball is that you get all the added greens control of a tour ball with less of driver spin than a tour ball, and thats why they have made this for a certain group of players in that i'd say 99-105 swingspeed range. Distance: 9/10 Feel: 9/10 Control: 8/10 Durability: 10/10 Greenside spin: 9.5/10 Driver: A It's rare to find a ball that feels soft off the driver yet doesn't sacrifice distance. I was happy to finally see a soft tour ball not balloon or leave me 10-20 yards shorter than usual. It has some nice pop on the driver with a very nice feel. But as a softer ball there is a slight change of over spin on shot shaping on the driver. But once you get used to it not being a harder ball, your control will be top notch. We have some very driveable Par-4's around here and I usually gun for them and usually come up about 10 yards short of the green. But every time I stood up with this ball I was hitting that par-4 green every time with great accuracy. It is a rare blend for sure and I would say any amateur using a tour ball not fit for them will benefit in their long game with this. Woods/hybrids: A Same as the driver, just a delight with distance and feel. I usually kept a mid flight with my woods/hybrids and would run off some greens at times. The RXS game me a slightly higher ball flight on my woods/hybrids to float in softer and stick more long balls. Control again can be way out there if you over-cook them, but you need to remember no matter how much it plays like a harder ball it is a soft ball. Irons: A+ Irons are where this ball comes to life, this is the bread and butter of this ball, in my opinion. My first few rounds with them I was carrying greens all of the place. My 7i was going as long as my 6i and sometimes 5i. I was blasting them, they just popped off the face like butter. They were explosive off a pure strike like I've never seen before. I was putting 6 feet of spin on the greens with a 5 iron! The ball lives and breathes for irons and greens. I said "oh my god" more times with this ball than anything ever. Pure surprise at the grip, feel, and distance with the irons. Wedges: A+ Much like the irons, the wedges have pop and control to the 9's. Every shot you need is here with this ball. High floater, the bump n check, the one stopper, the 6 foot creeper, its all there for the taking. Easy fluid swings yield outstanding control and greenside control. On a bump 'n' run it might not know when to release, but gripping the greens is just in it's nature, so play accordingly. Bottom-Line: Bridgetstones online fitting tool is pretty good at picking a ball for your game. This was the first time I did an online fitting and played the ball. I'd say it captured the essence of my game and boxed it up for me. Everything I love and desire in my game was brought to life with this ball. If you are fitted for this at http://www.bridgestonegolf.com/product/ball-selection-guide then you should trust the site and give it a try. Even if it fits you to any other Bridgestone ball, I now say, trust it. I am no tour player and I know a tour ball can hurt me a lot of the times, but with Bridgestones "bridge the gap" method, I feel like I can play a ball that grips and I can rip.
