Check out the Gamer V2’s features:
- 3–Piece Construction – Total performance from tee to green.
- Soft, Thin Ionomer Cover – Provides Tour-like spin and control around the greens.
- Dimple in Dimple Aerodynamics – The award-winning proprietary design uses a unique surface to maintain spin longer throughout flight, allowing the Gamer V2 to hold its line and maintain lift longer without ballooning. Lesser balls lose spin at the apex of flight, decreasing speed. When they lose lift and knuckleball out of the sky it sacrifices distance. Dimple in Dimple Aerodynamics helps maintain spin at the apex, delivering maximum distance through superior design rather than hard ball compressions.
- High Resiliency Core – Longer, explosive distance with the soft feel you‘d expect in a high performance golf ball.
- DuPont HPF Mantle Layer – Increases ball speed and optimizes driver spin to maximize distance.

Intro:

I will be honest, I have never played a top flite ball, ever...ever. And when I got the Gamer V2 to review I was hesitant to trust 1 month of rounds to this ball. I almost skipped it over to play another, even when i first bagged this ball I brought some other balls.

But, ever since playing this ball I have not bagged any other ball. Testing is well over for this ball, But i just seem to keep putting sleeves into my bag for every game. I should be out testing other balls, but I'm not! This ball sucked me in!

How could a $20 Ball by Top Flite reel me in like a drunkard and a neon sign? Simple, it's name says it all. It is a gamers ball, and I'm a gamaer. Not some 10 handicap or skimping by in the high single digits, I'm a 1 handicap, and this ball does everything I need and all that i want. If it works for me, then it will work for you.

Driver Grade: A

This ball get up and goes. It screams off the driver, but with a really nice soft-mid feel. I seem to keep this ball on the fairway 100% of the time. And not with just some get it down the middle control drives, but hard 300+ yard drives. Very low side spin, great flight, and with the carry of a ball twice it's price. The feel to distance ratio is one of the best I have ever played. This ball matched my distance and accuracy to balls such as the Titleist pro-v1, bridgestone b-330s, callaway tour i(z), and the srixon z star. For a ball thats about 60% less than those tour balls, why aren't you teeing this thing up?

Irons Grade: A

The distance and flight is pure off the irons. The feel once again is amazing. To see a ball coming off an iron like butter and just floating towards the tee is magical. This is where durability does become a very small issue, I seem to rip these balls up with a nice full wedge shot. But most of you will not see this problem, I like to put the most spin on a ball that it can handle. I push these balls to the limits on 120 yards and in. And I'm glad to say the Gamer V2 stood up to every demand I barked. I would like a little more green side spin and grip, but man this ball still bites. I could not seem to break this ball, it always held a green and had great iron and wedge control. I was surprised when I was never short, long, or seeing this ball run off the green like a run-away train.

Putting:

Usually my first putts are my worst, no matter how much i warmed up. But while bagging this ball I birdie putted my first hole 90% of the time. It feels great and everything we spoke about above gives you a nice sense of confidence with every club, even the putter. It tends to come off a little hot while putting, but it is a quick adjustment. It goes straight, hugs lines, and feels great. This ball can do it all.

Bottom-Line:

Play this ball, play this ball, and oh, play this ball. This ball makes golf fun by doing everything a ball should do in your game. And the price ain't that bad for everything it brings to the table. I've played a lot of balls, I hate a lot of balls, I am really picky, but this ball is top of the line if it was on any companies line. But, lucky for you and I, it is on Top Flite's line, so it's a top notch ball for only $20. I plan on gaming this ball as much as possible. And i hope when my tester boxes are gone, they will send me more! Due to it's price and game play this ball gets a great rating from us.
