Driver/Woods:
According to numerous forum testers, this Nike ONE RZN golf ball consistently gained about 3-7 yards when tested against golf balls like the ProV1, Z Star, and NXT tour. We unanimously agree that this golf ball consistently generates long drives while allowing the workability for fades or draws.

Irons:

The blend of the soft feel and a larger and lighter resin core allow you to compress the golf ball with ease. The ability to attain higher compression of the golf ball is what makes it easier for amateurs to gain extra distance. You can actually feel the easier compression with your irons. As an amateur mid to high handicapper, I put a premium on the ability to compress the golf ball easier so I don’t have to swing as hard to generate a longer distance.

Wedges:

The One RZN golf balls are built with distance and less spin in mind. This doesn’t bode well for golfers looking for lots of spin and check-up control on their wedge shots. Although a few forum testers reported a solid ability to get good spin and stop control on wedge shots, the ONE RZN golf ball is more of a chip and roll out type of ball in my opinion. We can’t hold that against this type of ball because this type of result is expected from the soft/high velocity/distance golf balls. If you are looking for more spin out of a ONE RZN golf ball, the One RZN-X with a firmer cover might be the choice for you.

Overall:
An underrated aspect of the Nike ONE RZN golf ball is its durability. During my last round with it, I found myself in the trees on a certain hole which I wish I could forget. I unfortunately hit a tree twice in a row, square in the trunk. To my surprise, the cover was barely even scratched. As long as you stay away from water hazards or cliffs, these golf balls should last for numerous rounds.

With a sale price hovering around $30/dozen, the Nike ONE RZN golf balls are one of the best values for a sub-tour golf ball on the market. As a reviewer, I would put this golf ball near the top in class of comparable mid priced golf balls. It’s hard to argue with high compression, longer distances, and durability.
